Imaging Departments Take Steps to Strengthen Financial Position as Operations Return to Normal

Regulated business operations, like healthcare, are not always as severely affected by financial turndowns as are private enterprises. Patients and the resulting revenue from their treatment are fairly constant even in difficult financial times. However, the Covid-19 pandemic was different. This time with the turndown in none pandemic procedures, like imaging, departments are struggling under unplanned for losses in revenue. To recover imaging providers are implementing procedures commonly used by private enterprise after a market turndown. Salary freezes, capital management, and other methods can be successfully deployed to shorten the time required to return to financial wellness.
