System relocations can go from seeming like a piece of cake – “well it’s only going a couple rooms down the hall, how bad can it be? – to a nightmare, when you actually take the time to think about what it entails.
System relocations can go from seeming like a piece of cake – “well it’s only going a couple rooms down the hall, how bad can it be? – to a nightmare, when you actually take the time to think about what it entails. There are many moving parts; site planning, de-installation, the physical moving of the system, reinstallation, and then getting it back up and running of course. All of which an OEM will not hesitate to charge you for. Scary right? It doesn’t have to be though.
At Universal, we offer a complete package for system relocations at an affordable price and in a lot less time. Just a few weeks ago our field service team performed a system relocation at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, MO. It involved a Philips BrightView and Siemens Orbiter.
On March 20th, the Siemens Orbiter was carefully removed. The BrightView was then moved to the room occupied by the Orbiter – which was determined after a consultation with the Radiology Director. On March 23rd, the team de-installed the Brightview from its original location and transported it and reinstalled it – all in just over five hours! Three days later it was back up and operating at 100%.
Maybe these relocations are a piece of cake after all.
