Universal SPECT System Disaster Recovery
Disastrous events like severe weather, fire, flood, power disruptions, and more can take a toll on your ability to provide essential nuclear imaging diagnostics for your medical facility. When disaster strikes, your ability to bounce back depends on anticipating and preparing for repairing and relaunching a return to normal operations.
We recently produced a webinar on this topic to help people prepare for the worst and get back up and running. It is complete with real-world examples of how nuclear imaging departments survived and recovered from actual disasters. You can watch the webinar here.
We recommend following the steps below to prevent a disaster to your department:
Plan: Create a strategy encompassing imaging equipment inventory, key facilities systems, and diagnostic operations (patient data storage, etc).
Prepare: Backups, power cycle, staff drills, disaster-proofing.
React: Respond efficiently: check power sources, inspect, test, assess scope of repairs.
Recover: Implement fixes, improvements, upgrades. Test and relaunch. Troubleshoot lingering issues.
