Choosing an Independent Service Provider that is right for you should take more time than just finding out who is the cheapest or claims to have the “best” customer service.
There are many factors to consider when you really take the time to think about it. We put together a checklist of questions to ask potential ISPs that will help you arrive at the best decision for your practice:
- Are your field-service engineers (FSEs) specifically trained in nuclear medicine?
- Are you qualified to represent this particular system?
- How well do your FSEs know this system?
- Do they know the normal maintenance schedule for my system?
- What are your service hours and costs?
- What is the standard turn-around time between my service call and someone qualified to service my system arriving at my facility?
- Do you have parts? Can you guarantee you’ll have parts for five years? What about ten?
- What types of service contracts do you offer? If I do not need a full service plan can I just get preventive, emergency, or parts? Can I get different service plans for different systems?
- We have a biomedical engineer on site – can I split coverage between my engineer and your FSE?
- Do you offer any training courses?
By using this list when you are choosing an Independent Service Provider you can feel confident you’ll pick the best one that fits your practices needs and requirements.
