Good news for Shine Medical Technologies as it expands its Moly-99 capability
Shine Medical Technology is raising another $30 million as it expands its capability for the production of Moly-99 for generator production. The company has secured major funding from several sources and continues to grow. It expects to begin production in 2021 with commercial product being ready in 2022. Another company enters the Mo-99 production business
Eden Radioisotopes has signed an investment agreement with oil and gas company Abo Empire to build a medical isotope production reactor in New Mexico. Eden has secured technology from Sandia Labs that will allow it to produce large quantities, up to 10,000 curies weekly, of Mo-99. The supply of Moly in the US continues to improve as private industry fills the space left by the shuttering of the Canada’s Chalk River reactor.
